From the clothes our customers buy to the stores they love to shop in, design makes all the difference. We pride ourselves on fresh, fast-changing design that stays that one step ahead of emerging tastes and trends. Our design teams create product ranges with broad appeal, picking up on influences from the catwalk to tradeshows, from the clubs to the streets.
Garment Design
It all starts with researching fabrics, colours and trends. Absorbing worldwide influences and blending in their own creative inspiration, our Garment Designers work closely with Buyers and Garment Technologists to conjure up the season's range of styles. Using state-of-the-art CAD tools they'll turn drawings into design packs for our suppliers to create the sample garments.
Graphic Design
The never-ending demand for cool graphics on garments like T-shirts keeps our Graphic Designers constantly bouncing new ideas around. There are also roles on the packaging side, working with the George brand to deliver a consistent message with a fresh look and feel.
Store Design
This is design in a different but equally crucial dimension, creating an exciting and inspiring shopping experience. (See Store Planning & Design).
Design Collaborations
Designer collaborations with stellar names like Charlie Allen and Barbara Hulanicki extend our appeal to our existing customers and help to attract a new audience in George stores. These partnerships are not only a commercial success but also an added inspiration for our in-house design teams.
