A fast paced environment like no other.

The speed of our business means you'll have to think on your feet. You'll have a plan A, B, and in some cases a plan C. You'll constantly be on the ball, reacting with speed to business actions and updates, as well as sales and market conditions. Things change very fast at George and maximising availability is a real challenge. You'll react to national promotions, local events and even the weather to ensure your customers get want they want, when they want it. You'll make sure nothing is overlooked, constantly replenishing and flexing the shop floor in line with stock levels. Whatever the stock challenge, you'll turn it into a sales opportunity.

No such thing as a typical day.

Trust us, there will never be a dull moment. It's all part of being a George Manager. You'll enjoy plenty of variety as you manage every aspect of a busy department. When you're not leading from the front out on the shop floor, you'll be coaching your team or planning ahead. You'll react quickly to changing priorities and always remain in control as you deliver a great customer experience. You'll walk the floor to ensure everything is in its place, getting all hands on deck to tidy things up through 'rumbles', and keeping everyone updated with what needs to be done with team 'huddles' - before making plans for tomorrow.
