At George we're committed to developing tomorrow's talent so we run both student placement and work experience schemes.

student placements

We already have very close links with many universities including Nottingham Trent, De Montfort and Manchester Metropolitan University.

It's an award-winning programme that has been recognised by the National Council for work experience. Each year we give around eight students the chance to work with us in departments like Design, Merchandising, Branch Merchandising, Buying, Marketing and Technology. Students work as a full member of the team and also get to see what every other department does - so it's great preparation for the world of work after graduation.

work experience

We also run a work experience scheme for any student over the age of 16 years of age, at our Lutterworth Head Office. This gives people a real taste of what working at George is really like. We see it as a great way to support the local community and develop local talent.

There is also the opportunity to gain work experience with some of our design team members in our central London office if that's more convenient for you.
